E-mail server software that delivers the advanced protection your company demands, the anywhere access your people want and the IT ease-of-use that you need.
Microsoft Exchange has been established as the standard-bearer in business e-mail servers.
For those who are not familiar with what Exchange offers, here are some of the problems addressed by Microsoft Exchange:
All my data is stored on my laptop. What happens if my laptop is lost or stolen? With Microsoft Exchange, there is no issue. The server retains all your data. Every user's data is stored in one location, on one server, and this server can be replicated or backed-up to another location for 100% disaster recoverability and fault tolerance.
I have my important contacts and calendar on my computer at work, but I sure would like to get to them from other computers, and my smartphone. In Microsoft Exchange, each user's storage space is called a "mailbox," but it's for much more than just e-mail. Your contacts, calendar, to-do list and more are also stored here. And, because it's all stored on the server, this data can be wirelessly synchronized to your handheld device or accessed via any computer with a web browser.
I would like to receive my e-mail on my smartphone. Because Exchange is the premier e-mail server solution, all major smartphone platforms have the ability to synchronize with Exchange continuously. We have experience setting up phones on platforms including Palm, BlackBerry, iPhone, Symbian, Android and of course Windows Mobile.
When I send an e-mail response on my smartphone, I would like to keep a record of that (not just on the phone). Messages sent on your smartphone will be stored in your Sent Items folder in your mailbox - viewable anywhere.
I sort my e-mail into folders, but those folders are not viewable anywhere but the work computer. Again, because everything is stored on the server, those folders and their contents are the same no matter where you view them from.
I get a TON of spam. Help! Microsoft Exchange has several integrated anti-spam features, which will filter out the spam for you - no interaction needed.
I would like to set an out-of-office message. Microsoft Exchange can be set to respond for you, and let people attempting to get a hold of you know that you are not in the office. You can compose your own message informing the e-mail sender when you'll get back to them, or whom to contact instead.
Our organization struggles to coordinate schedules when setting up meetings. In Exchange, whenever you go to create a meeting request with someone, a quick view of that person's in/out schedule is presented. You cannot see what the other person's meetings are, but you can see whether their schedule is open or not. Or, if there is a situation where an assistant needs to set appointments for an executive, that assistant can be given full access to the calendar, including the ability to add, remove and reschedule appointments.
